Vegas Baby!

Well we went to Vegas for spring break. I was a little apprehensive, but it was AWESOME! I'd go back in a second. There is so much to see and do. We seen probably about one third of the stuff to see on the Strip and nothing from the old Strip at all. We went to Hoover Dam which was incredible. The Dam like everything else we seen in Vegas was huge. The scale of the hotels there are hard to fathom unless you have been there and walked among these giants. Some of the other things within a couple of hours drive that I would like to see if we were to go again are; Roswell, Area 51 and the Grand Canyon. They have a couple mountains there, in opposite directions from the city, that would be great to check out. One is snow-capped andhas the oldest living trees, the Bristlecone Pine, some are around 4500 years old. The other one is more like a hill really, but this hill has rocks on it from four different time periods and no one is sure why. At the base of the hill is a wetlands. For Nevada being a "desert" state Ithink it's funny that its name means snow-capped and that Las Vegas means the meadows.
